Upgrade target acquisition and control system (TACS) for IAV stryker

CanineSoft has been contracted by the US. Army to upgrade the target acqui-
sition and control system (TACS) for the NW Strylter armored fighting vehicle.
CanineSoft has determined that about 75.000 source lines of code [SLOC)
need to he developed or modified. In addition, the status of the vehicle‘s legacy
IC’I’ has to be evaluated to ensure proper integration between legacy modules
and new ICT modules. The Army requires that development must occur within
a fully compliant ISO 12207 framework.

As the first step. (IanineSoft will prepare a top-level plan for adopting 12207
processes into a lifecycle management model for the project. Your task is
to help prepare this plan. Within the plan. only major steps of the lil’eeycle
process need to be organized into the framework. In other words, focus on
the process and activity level; you can omit the tasks. The plan should take
the form of a project timeline that describes when a process is used. other
processes with which it interacts. units involved in the interaction. and the
desired outcome. Besides providing a customized timeline and plan. include
the business justification for each major process or step.
