Art and Gender Assignment

1) Use a MINIMUM of FIVE found objects (things you may have around your house, in the recycling bin, or anywhere else), newspaper or magazine clippings, or anything you can think of. Lay out the items in a way that communicates something about your gender. Items to not need to be adhered together, but they should be laid out in a way that has meaning and furthers what you’d like to communicate. 2) Photograph your assemblage and include the photograph in your student blog post. 3) Complete the following in your student blog: •Provide an overview of your assemblage. •Why did you use each found object? •Why did you arrange them in the way that you did? •What do you hope to communicate to a viewer about your gender?
