British Literature: Shakespeare’s King Lear

 

 

Shakespeare writes with the primary aim of bringing his readers to philosophy, giving them a chance to participate in it first-hand. Shakespeare’s plays revel, by contrast, that the fundamental human questions are embedded in ordinary experience. What does Shakespeare’s King Lear bring to this discussion.

Research is limited to the story from my college book (Fourth Edition – The Longman Anthology of British Literature – Volume 1B. pgs 1359 – 1444) and EBSCO Host from my school website.
