cavitation curves

cavitation curves

step 1:What we want to achieve is to visualise how spectra change with flow/sigma value from the telemetry. Are there any changes in the spectra with flow/sigma value?
Second, we want to see if the spectra that we recorded are different/similar to the spectra of cavitation noise reported in the literature.
i have already downloaded some videos from the internet and transformed them through Matlab to FFT. compare FFT to spectra (file: cavitation sound 1)
the file (sound cavitation 2) are the same videos and and fft except the changes below ARE MADE.
1. First recording (Cavitating pump Youtube.mp4 and 1.mp3) – you have two flow regimes there: no-cavitating flow and cavitating flow. the file is split into two sections and do the FFT on non-cavitating flow sound and cavitating flow sound. Additionally, fft plots are symmetrical so the first half is cut off of the fft plot.
2. Same with Pump cavitation sound.mp4 (3.mp3) – you have two flow regimes therefore you can analse two separate files. Try to split the files into the fragments with cavitation and without cavitation. If you do the fft of the entire file, you will generate the frequency profile for both signals – which is not good.
3. Not sure about ultrasonic cavitation and if that has a similar frequency profile to pump and valve cavitation. One way to find out is to compare the FFTs from all cavitation files. (PLEASE COMPARE THIS)
