Chapter 11 HW is also associated with Objective 2: Discuss the physical work conditions affecting employee health and safety. (p.

For this HW, you can observe a workplace for things related to safety. Find as many examples of the (4) safety categories listed

below and write a report on what you observed.

Here are the specific instructions: Choose a workplace that you have access to either as a customer, employee, or visitor. It could

be your own university. Look for instances in which safety procedures are used. This could include the posting of safety messages

(e.g. to use safety equipment), the wearing of safety gear, the availability or use of safety equipment, or other signs of safety

practices. Make a record and write a report of what you found.

Make sure you include a table or figure in your report. For this report, there might be a way to organize your observations into an

easy to see table display. If you want, for the first column, create rows for the following categories: (1) Safety messages, (2) The

wearing of safety gear, (3) Availability of use of safety equipment, and perhaps an (4) Other category for any observations that

don’t fit into 1-3. Then with these 4 categories, in one column, list examples you observed in a second column for each category.

For instance, in row (1) “Safety Messages”, I might list in the second column that I saw a fire exit sign, while in row (2) “Wearing
