Step 1: Locate a variety of scholarly resources–both traditional (e.g., printed books, journal articles, etc.) and electronic–related to Communicative Language Teaching (CLT).

Step 2: Summarize, paraphrase, and synthesize the results of a series of research studies or scholarly discussions on a single topic and prepare a 20 page draft of chapter 2, using appropriate academic discourse and conventions.

Step 3: Integrate key aspects of the review of literature into a graphically displayed format (tables or figures) that succinctly presents scholarship on the topic.
