Compare and Contrast

 

Select ONE theme that has been prevalent in the first four weeks of class. For example, compare

Seligman’s treatment (you may also reference Happy(The movie) or Dan Gilbert’s TED talk) of this topic with Aristotle’s, pointing to

similarities and differences, as well as the most important contributions made by each to the discussion of the pursuit of human

fulfillment. Another example would be comparing Thomas Aquinas’s view of virtue with Aristotle’s, using Perpetua and Felicity as an

illustration of the difference.
Other themes may include, but are not limited to, the following: voluntary action, effort/work, friendship/kindness to others, virtue,

happiness, habituation, skill and flow, positive emotion, pleasure/instant gratification, etc.
