Create a graphic organiser (see Willis, p.16-17) with evidence to support the following statement: In order to become an effective reader, students need skills in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. For each skill, provide at least one fact to describe how the skill supports reading and include a visual symbol for each fact. Explain why you chose each symbol and explain how your graphic organiser represents the relationships between the various components of reading. (the explanation can go on a separate page)
