My fieldwork focuses on how Korean Lunar New Year tradition demonstrates Confucianism principles. My primary interest of fieldwork is to compare the old Korean Lunar New Year traditions under Confucianism’s influence, to the fading traditions in the modern life. To start the fieldwork research, I would try to find some resources such as articles, videos, pictures or songs about this topic of holiday on Internet; what is Korean Lunar New Year, how is it come from, how or why people celebrate, etc.I will talk about how Confucianism influences the tradition and modern Korea New Year celebration. What different or share between tradition and modern Korean celebration. I will see whether Confucianism thoughts maintain in modern Korean daily life.
