ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The assessment criteria are:
• Critically assess key current concepts and theories associated with the management of events.
• Analyse the determinants for current issues in the events industry.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of several specific current issues pertinent to the events industry and management.

ASSESSMENT QUESTION

You are required to produce an essay (approximately 2500 words) that reviews a minimum of 5 current global issues and explain how they impact on the event industry. Your discussion should include recommendations for event managers on how to deal with these issues as well as why it is important for event managers to understand and be able to respond to what is happening in the world at any point in time.
Your discussion should include:
A description of the global issues
Why they are relevant to the events sector?
What an event manager should do in response to the issues identified?
How the events industry is likely to change as a result of the issues identified? Why it is important for Event Managers to keep on top of current issues and how they should do this.
