Write on any one question. Refer to some social science concepts and to some evidence. State your argument up front and use evidence to support it. Anticipate and address counterarguments. Briefly define key terms.

Your answer must refer to works on the class syllabus. To supplement these works, you may also refer to some works that are not on the syllabus, though this is not required. Works that appear on the syllabus can be cited by the author’s name in parentheses. For other works, provide complete references as you would in a term paper. Direct quotations obviously require quotation marks and a reference.

I have attached the syllabus and texts from the syllabus I find relevant, and can send PDFs of any texts needed that are on the syllabus. PLEASE use works from the syllabus. My last paper from this site had no references from the syllabus required readings, even though I had requested it. It is very important for this paper as it is my final. The reading under November 30th on the syllabus are the ones that will be relevant.
