Listed below are several approaches to ethical decisions making. Choose 10 and research each approach writing a one (1) synopsis of each. The project should include at least four sources for each concept. Using ten (10) of the following concepts below give a one page synopsis of the concepts. Your synopsis should be limited to a one page overview of the concept that draws from your research and analytical understanding of the use of the concept in your religious community or the community in which the concept originates. While you may use any concept as identified from your personal communal perspective, avoid discussion of the concepts as a testimony of your religious convictions. You should use at least three sources for each concept. Note: all papers over ten pages for the concepts will be penalized 1 point for each page over.
Discuss could include but not limited to any of the following:
1. Definition – provide a brief definition of the word
2. Historical context – determine the historical setting of the word and give a simple overview of the word.
3. Various philosophical perspectives – this could be used to discuss the relevance of the word. Since you only have one page, you need to be concise with wording.
4. Criticisms – who are the critics and what are their particular criticisms.
Format – for each concept, you must have at least three (3) academic sources; proper academic formatting including bibliography or works cited page.

Choose one of the following assignments as your final project. It is important to utilize the various resources at your disposal to give a scholarly presentation of the material. Subsequently, you must use sources that give weight to your discussion. Sources that are critical to your discussion include primary sources (documents, interviews and case studies provide a firm foundation for your discussion). Other resources include secondary sources such as professional journals, academic publications, reports, scholarly books and reputable website information. Such sources as newspapers and magazines should be used with caution since they use more editorial and opinionated information. You should not use such publications as Reader’s Digest, National Geographic or like publications. On-line sources should be used with caution (Encyclopedias, dictionaries and Wikipedia are not to be used). Direct quotes from sacred texts such the Bible, Qur’an, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita or other holy books are acceptable for quotations but not considered academic sources. Also, avoid long quotations from any source. Sources must be peer reviewed. See one of the standard style manuals for the proper formatting.
All papers must have internal citations. This means that you must have either direct quotes, paraphrases, allusions or any combination properly sourced and cited in the body of the document to support the research paper
