Complete the following safety video assignment prior to the first experimenting laboratory day.
Submit to your TA at the start of the lab.
You are to search the internet for ( 5 ) safety videos that are specific to general chemistry lab safety.
Take notes while you watch each video to completion. Prepare a report of several things that you
learned, found interesting, or even share criticisms of the Videos. Include observations like correct
lab safety practices or improper attire. It may be helpful to read through some of the feedback of
other viewers (like in the comments section on Youtube).
Start your report with:
-title of the videos and link (url) ‘7
-length of the videos
-separate paragraphs for critiques of each video
-rate the videos 1-5, with ‘1’ being the best and ‘5’ being the worst
As a summary, include at least 8 points of good lab safety practices. In total, your report should be
approximately one page typed at minimum. Attach this sheet to your report.
