Hero’s Quest
Design a contemporary, original hero or heroine and describe them to us. Develop your own original ideas based on mythological models for the hero or heroine’s quest and position it in a modern setting. The video is a narration of the story. Describe, for example, the plight of the main character-the feat(s) he or she must execute for the benefit of society in the face of challenges. Also tell us about the relevance of this quest to you personally.
Identify also the villain or dark forces and describe the characteristics and role of the dark forces in the hero’s quest.
Identify any other archetypes within the story. Briefly describe these roles in the hero’s quest.
Identify in detail each of the steps the hero takes in the quest: initiation, separation, transformation, and return.
Include references by verbalizing the sources for your research. For example which mythological story or stories did you choose to model your contemporary hero or heroine?
