Paper instructions:
I need to do a short term and long term plan to do a re-organization of my communications department. It should include the following.
Existing org-chart
New org-chart
24/5 operations
On-call shift for weekend coverage

We can even look at doing coverage with 3 shift on-call rotations to cover also week end work.

Long term>Propose to move Operator,Pager staff to Out-patient service, PTS to BioMed department to reduce workforce and cost reductions.

Short Term> Move Nurse Call, telephone and communication engineer/technician to report to Network Infrastructure Manager,

Communication functions in silo teams that needs to be more efficient reducing cost and head count by shifting people to other departments

The purpose of this assignment to to present to my CIO convince him of restructuring communication is  neccessary

design parameters:
–Organizational strategy.
–Technical / service level requirements.
•Hold planning workshops with IT top management and key team members to design target environment:
–New organizational structure / team size.
–Changes to current IT processes.
–Requirements for new IT tools.
–Improvements in use of existing tools.
•Prepare Envision Phase report, summarizing key decisions.
