Journal with a Theme
Objective: Four times according to the Study Plan – go back and review the lectures and your notes for the most recent section of the course. Then type in a journal
about what you have learned. You must write at least 500 words for each of the four sections of the course (2,000 words minimum when all sections are complete).
Choose one theme in which to write for all the sections. Write a narrative about what you learned as:
1. It is useful in managing a business, non-profit or government office that you know something about.
or
2. It relates to your past personal experiences.
or
3. It integrates with your planned major and your future professional career.
Important – the journal should show a strong effort. You will be evaluated for your effort in demonstrating that you are discovering economics and how it connects to
one of three interests above. YOU MUST EXTENSTIVELY USE THE TERMS, PRINCPLES AND MODELS within the sentences that you write. Please type the terms in bold (or use
CAPS) similar to what is required on other assignments.
Notice: The phrases and sentences in your journal must be yours alone. It is plagiarism to take from other sources.
Tips: Do your journal each week that it is assigned, and do not procrastinate until the last week before it is due. Write more than the minimum if you are trying to
earn a grade higher than minimum.
The journal is due once at the end of the quarter according to the schedule. Please type your full name at the top and do not send as an attachment.
