Leverage Ratios

Leverage ratios are used to measure the extent to which non-owner supplied funds have been used to finance a firm’s assets. Leverage ratios can be categorized as being either balance sheet ratios or coverage ratios.
Balance sheet leverage ratios measure the proportion of the firm’s assets financed with non-owner funds.
