Li-ion battery multi-stage charger with power factor correction for mobile phone
With increasing demand on electronic devices, such as mobile phone, laptop and iPod,
the development of compact and small battery charger for Li-ion battery has been
required.
In this project, the students will study the rectifier from mains and battery characteristics
of Li-ion battery to develop multi-stage charger with power factor correction (PFC).
Then, the students are expected to simulate the circuit by using PSIM and design the
circuit to implement it in the hardware, microprocessor is required to control the charging
process.
