You are to write up a narrative history of a significant historical event in African-American history up to 1877. Use events like
slave revolts, abolition conventions, slave escape stories, or similar big events. There needs to be good research available, of
course, and documentation of sources.
The essay should be a minimum of 750 words. Be sure to edit carefully, and make generous use of IN-TEXT CITATIONS. The more you cite
your research, the more it appears you did your research.
