Nozick minimal state

Nozick defends the minimal state against more egalitarian institutions, such as those advocated by Rawls, on the grounds that the more egalitarian institutions would force some individuals to assist others. Is it always unjust for a state to demand that its more successful members contribute to providing for the needs of the less successful, no matter how extreme their need may be? why or Why not?
