SAM 5146: Religion and Development.
OBLIGATORY ESSAY ASSIGNMENT, spring semester 2017
In this semester, when the course is not taught, the students must write an essay (5500-6000 words) on a given topic (see below). The essay is assessed with grades (A-F).
Choose one of the following topics:
EITHER:
Development has become an increasingly debated concept. Give an account of its origin and significance, and discuss the continued relevance of this concept.
OR:
Give an account of the role of religion in development, with a particular focus on health and education issues. Discuss with the use of examples controversies and fruitful co-operation in these fields.
