To become a project manager you must take what you know about a project charter or a work breakdown structure and integrate knowing with
doing. The purpose of this capstone is for you to gain a realistic experience in developing essential pieces to a project, such as, defining
the scope of your project, creating a schedule or planning for risks.
This capstone project has been designed to allow you to take the knowledge you have gained through the Specialization and put that knowledge
into practice. In the capstone, you should have already created several of the key planning deliverables that have been discussed in the
capstone course. You will begin the capstone project by meeting seven key course objectives that will lend in writing part of the project
charter. You will build on the information you have learned to define your project, and then ultimately create a schedule, budget, WBS, RAM,
etc. The goal is for you to use what you have learned in previous courses and to perform your own research to complete a 7 part capstone
project.
Grading
The entire project is worth 48 points. A passing score is 33 points and above.
1.Narrative Charter Statement: The entire narrative charter is worth 13 points. Each section has specific point values equaling 10.
2.Work Breakdown Structure: This section of the assignment is worth a total of 10 points.
3.Sequence Project Activities: This section of the assignment is worth 5 points.
4.Build a Project Schedule: This section of the assignment is worth 5 points.
5.Create a Project Budget: This section of the assignment is worth 5 points.
6.Create a Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM): This section of the assignment is worth 3 points.
7.Identify Project Risks with Responses for those Risks: This section of the assignment is worth 7 points.
