Define and give examples related to your proposed experiment of the following elements of experimental design: 1) general hypothesis, 2) experimental hypothesis, 3) independent variable, 4) dependent variable (s), 5) confounding (extraneous) variables- try to find 3- and 6) measures of control for those variables and other obvious contaminants, 7) sample selection and 8) experimental trials.
