Choose the topic of “Art in Global Context Post 1989” research paper–the more specific the topic, the better. It may be
monographic or thematic, but the balance between general concepts and specific examples is necessary for good research. The topic
should be chosen from the time period covered after 1989 and include examples of art that can be viewed in New York City. The goal
of this paper is to extend the coursework toward independent study. In approximately 150 words, describe the scope of your
research: the topic and artist(s)/artwork(s) to be addressed (indicate which ones you are able to view in person). Include minimum
five (5) scholarly sources and annotate your bibliography, describing how the text pertains to your research.
