Traditional punishments utilized across the United States include fines, probation, community service, imprisonment and even the death penalty. Recently, there has been a movement to advocate for increased expansion of restorative justice programs. For this topic, you will be required to compose a 3-4 page paper outlining the philosophical justification and conceptualization of restorative justice practices. Furthermore, you will be required to provide peer-reviewed academic literature that supports an argument either for or against the increased use of restorative justice practices here in the United States. You are to use only published and peer-reviewed sources for this paper
