Assignment Brief
This assignment will provide evidence for all the assessment criteria (1.1 to 6.1) All seven Grading Criteria will be applied to arrive at an overall grade for this assignment.
You are to identify a suitable theme from the area of Power & Politics, Health or Religion to conduct a piece of sociological research which you will write up into a research report following the given research report format. This will become your own individual research project in which you collect and analyse your own primary data using an appropriate methodology.
Apart from reporting on your own primary data your report will include, in the literature review section, appropriate secondary sources relevant to your area of research.
The report should be concise and a minimum of 3000 words. Your choice of topic will stem from the subject content from this unit. Your aims and an hypothesis for your research, along with your planned methodology, must be presented as a research proposal to your tutor prior to commencing your research (This will exclusively fulfil assessment criteria 1.1 & 1.2)
