The disease to discuss here is Priapism

Patients often present with a broad array of clinical signs and symptoms. It is important for the paramedic to know how to recognise these and understand the significance they have to underlying disease states.
You are each assigned a different sign of symptom to report on, as part of building a collective group database.
You have 500 words or less to;
>Explain the relevant pathophysiology which has lead to the symptom
> Describe how the sign or symptom is recognized (or it’s presentation features/characteristics/criteria)
>Identify the any significant implications that the detection of the sign/symptom may have for the paramedic
Standard marking rubric applies.
