The relevancy of Science in our World today

Paper instructions:
The first written assignment will be a research paper discussing the relevancy of Science in our World today. Under the umbrella term Science you may choose a topic in any of the Natural Sciences such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Geology, Medicine, Environmental Science etc. You should discuss the topic from a past, present and future perspective. The paper will be 900-1100 words (4-5 pages) in length, double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font, using MLA format.
