1. Write a second paragraph that is linked and would follow your paragraph from part a). It should also contain at least three transition words. The topic for this paragraph needs to be related to the same idea as your first paragraph. Think of another element of the novel that makes it more enjoyable to read.

The previous paragraph mentioned was written on how Steinbeck’s use foreshadowing made the novel more exciting. Examples of other elements that are mentioned in the course could be symbolism or character development.

2. Update your plot graph by selecting events that you feel are part of the rising action in chapter 4. All that’s needed are 10 bullet points.
