Individual Assessment Criteria

In answering the chosen question you will have to assess and critically evaluate the various theoretical debates introduced in the course by drawing upon academic research and literature.

In terms of the Structure Requirement, students are reminded that the work should have introduction, the main body and conclusion with the appropriate heading. Each paragraph should

contain one point which is explained well and reasoned through, and finally, that paragraphs are linked.

In terms of the Content Requirement, students must demonstrate:

• Work is very well balanced with appropriate and well considered introduction and conclusion and with clear objectives and logical development of arguments
• Work includes a good range of theory and organisational examples (but examples are not a necessary requirement if your essay is theoretical), which is appropriately selected and explained,

critically analysed and evaluated in the context of the question
• Work is presented with care and attention to detail and has a fluent and accurate written style

• References to a good range of literature, which extends beyond that introduced in the module, are given and are cited appropriately in text and within the list of references using the required

conventions
