Both Joseph Stiglitz and Vandana Shiva discussed the relationship between globalization and intellectual property. 2.
at least one relevant quotation and key term(s) from Stiglitz (2.5 points)
    3.      skillful use of Shiva to support your argument (2.5 points)
    4.     at least one relevant quotation and key term(s) from Shiva (2.5 points)

    Question #2
Use readings : “Reflections on #Occupy Everywhere”,
    “It’s a flat world, after all— http://www.nytimes.com/2005/04/03/magazine/03DOMINANCE.html?_r=1&”
    “Friedman_Stieglitz debate.”

Technology has been a major topic throughout the semester starting with Thomas Friedman’s discussion of the global platform that is flattening the world and Joseph Stiglitz who reminded us that there is still a global digital divide in terms of who has access to computer and Internet technology. Steadily progressing technology has had a profound impact on global supply chains since the Industrial Revolution. Sakia Sassen argued that despite Internet technology, location matters when it comes to the financial sector. Clifford Bob remarked on the use of the Internet to garner interest in local issues, Manisha Desai discussed the use of Internet technology to create networks for women, and Marc Lynch and Jeffery Juris discussed the benefits and drawbacks of using social media to coordinate protests and social movements. Who has made the most compelling arguments about technology and its relationship to globalization, in your opinion? Why? Use examples from at least two different authors and from both halves of the semester to write your response.

I will grade your response using the following guide:
    1. skillful use of relevant reading #1 from first half of the semester to support your argument (2.5 points)
2. at least one relevant quotation from reading #1 (2.5 points)
3. skillful use of relevant reading #2 from second half of the semester to support your argument (2.5 points)
4. at least one relevant quotation from reading #2 (2.5 points)
