Peer-Reviewed Journal Article Critique
In this discussion you will focus on critically evaluating the family research information available to you. In your initial post, explain how reliability and validity are important factors to consider when reviewing a research article. Find a peer-reviewed journal article that reports a study concerned with a family-related topic, and in your initial post include the following information about the article: •A complete citation for the article, formatted following APA guidelines. •A 2–3-sentence summary of the purpose of the study, that is, the research question(s). •A summary of the research methods used. •The results reported in the study.
Critique the study described in the article, answering the following questions: •What are the strengths and weaknesses of the research design? •How could the study have been improved in regard to the sample selection process, method or design of the study, control of variables, statistical methods used, and so forth?
Your initial post must cite at least two references and be at least 250 words in length, not counting the reference list or a repetition of the discussion topic. Cite your sources in APA 6th edition format.
