Your task: Write an essay in which you critically analyse two or three of the main concepts or topics about which you have been reflecting in your critically reflective journal. In your essay, ensure that your context is clear and explain how your thinking has progressed since submitting your concept map. In your consideration of each concept or topic, make sure that your discussion is supported with reference to relevant literature and that you provide illustrative examples from your journal of your reflections about each concept or topic.Conclude the essay with a synthesis of the analysis that you have conducted and generate some ideas about how you might now apply your insight into your professional practice.

1.    Introduction to the essay describes your context and explains to the reader how the essay is structured to include personal experiences, relevant literature and theoretical ideas and examples, and the use that is made of in the critically reflective journal (x/5)
2.    Each leadership concept or topic in the essay includes a description, critical review of relevant literature, and illustrative examples drawn from the journal (x/35)
3.    Conclusion is provided in which the main points of the essay are synthesised and there is a clear statement including suggestions for application in your future professional practice (x/10)
4.    Mechanics of language and style:
    Control of the mechanics of language to support meaning and the coherent development of ideas.
    Demonstration of an understanding of the conventions of academic writing, including register and adherence to word limit
    Appropriate referencing using the Harvard Style of referencing (AGPS 6th edition) (x/10)
