[1] AN INVESTIGATION INTO A WORLD ENGLISHES VARIETY
Your task is to choose a World Englishes variety and investigate the
ways in which this variety is similar to and different from either
standard British English or US English (i.e. the inner-circle normative
models for English Language Teaching).
You should provide a short introduction which situates the assignment
and your chosen language within the field of World Englishes and and
signposts the rest of the report for the reader.

The rest of the assignment should provide a comparative analysis of your
chosen World Englishes variety and British or US English: study the
pronunciation/phonology, grammar, vocabulary and where relevant,
pragmatics/discourse characteristics of the variety and compare this to
UK/US English. You should also relate your findings to concepts from the
module such as intelligibility and comprehensibility, models and
standards. Make sure you provide plenty of clear exemplification of the
similarities and differences you describe.
You should aim to write about 1000-900 words for this section.
