1) Compose and submit an annotated bibliography of all ten sources to be used in the Problem/Solution

Argument.
2) Writing an annotated bibliography is excellent preparation for a research project. While collecting

resources is useful, annotating each source is even better because you will begin to read more critically

instead of just collecting information.
3) An annotation is simply a summary of a book, article, or some other written source. A bibliography is

a list of sources on a particular topic. Together, an annotated bibliography is a list of sources on a

topic that offers a summary for each source.
4) Each annotation should be at least 100 words but no longer than 300 words in length. An annotated

bibliography has two parts:
a) The bibliography line, which should be written in MLA format and alphabetized.
b) The summary part, which should include the following:
i) A sentence or two that describes the author’s credentials, purpose, and audience.
ii) A brief “capsule” summary of its content.
iii) A brief statement evaluating the reliability, regency and representativeness of the source.
iv) A sentence at the end of the summary that explains why this source appears valuable and how you

plan to use it.
5)  Please use MLA formatting – heading, margins, title, font size and type.
