Remember that you will be analyzing their Information Systems Management strategy – NOT the technical innovation of their products. For instance, with Apple, you would be focusing on how the information systems supports a business model that depends on frequent innovation, keeping ahead of the technology mainstream and attention to user experience. The technical design of the next iPhone may be mentioned but should not be the focus of your study. The reason for picking a high profile company is that information on their strategy and systems may be easier to research.
