Are leaders BORN or are they are made

Can you learn to be a good leader or do you just have to be born with charisma, brains and the “it” factor? Freud felt that leaders were born with innate talents that made them rise above the rest, but Watson, Skinner and Locke felt that we are born essentially as a blank slate and it is a combination of factors in our environment and upbringing that determine if we become leaders. What do you think about the various theories and where do you fall in this debate? Are you on one side or the other? In the middle? As a leader, it’s important for you to know where you stand because it influences how you perceive others and their capabilities.
