Think about your “tone” and “point of view” in your writing. There are differences between a formal academic essay and an arts review. You are allowed to make occasional use the first person voice in your writing of the
reviews since this is a personal chronicle, and I am inviting you to take your reader into your own, unique experience. However, the tone of the review should still have a moderate level of formality. I am expecting a polished style
of writing.
Imagine that your target audience is an intelligent, curious person.
