• Summary of topic-
Local Intergration is one of the three durable solutions for refugees. The other durable solutions are resettlement and repatriation. However i want to demonstrate that local intergration has ceased being a durable solution to temporary solution for refugees seeking asylum. I also want to demonstrate the need for countries in the spirit of cooperation to support each other to carrying the burden of refugees granted local intergration noting this is a temporary measure hence should not be a burden left to an individual state alone. Just like Resettlement triggers burden sharing and quota sharing demands from states, so should the states bearing most burden for refugees be assisted internationally including in regional states which may not be feeling the burden of hosting refugees in their territories.
• Short literature review – As for the literature review bit, If possible i would appreciate to have separate a copy say in word or pdf of the cited paragraphs if its possible . This will help me have and in-depth look at the citations in details in future for my own reference
. • Expected contribution of the study- I have in mind demonstrating that Local Intergration has become irrelevant and a temporary measure my Resettlement and Repatriation are the more solid durable solution remaining. I would also like to use the paper to show that Refugees should not be denied opportunities to consider Resettlement as an option on basis of possibility of local intergration since most of the refugees live in a country for atleast 20 years but will still be repatriated back to their countries of origin after situation improves in their country or after the country of asylum suffers fatigue in burden of hosting refugees
• Methodology to be followed : questionnaire to protracted refugees in a refugee camp ( to be identified / specified at a later stage) • Availability of the data

• Reasons why you are interested in the topic- What i have in mind also includes but not limited to get into the origin of the State arguments and negotiations that led to the inclusion of this durable solution into the 1951 Refugee convention and examine how the current the world political and migration movement has undermined this durable solution hence a need to amend it as a temporary solution to refugees plight rather than a durable solution. Some of the issues that has undermined local intergration include issues of terrorism , economic burden on states, societies attitude towards refugees as in the case of Hungary etc
