Brick Lane “Curry Mile” Competitor Analysis
You will write up your analysis as an individual PowerPoint presentation and submit it as an attachment as part of your Learning Journal. You should produce a minimum of 5 and maximum of 15 slides and these should be data rich and visually appealing (e.g. tables, diagrams, photos, quotes, tally charts, scattergrams, strategic groupings etc).
These slides will summarise your competitor analysis of the restaurants on the “Curry Mile”. This is a single road that starts at the junction of Whitechapel High Street and Osborn Street (postcode E1 6TY) and goes up to the Old Truman Brewery / Hanbury Street (postcode for google maps E1 6QL).

-Within your slide presentation you might consider including an assessment of the external issues facing the restaurants on Brick Lane (the article is a good starting point for this),
-An overview of the competitors (how many restaurants, what different groups/segments),
-How do restaurants differentiate themselves to achieve a competitive advantage (if you look on the windows there is a wealth of information posted or look through the window to see the size and layouts and furnishings),
-You could consider which restaurant(s) you think are most attractive (or least attractive) to customers and why.
-Finally, you should choose one or two specific restaurants and consider how they could improve their offering and increase their competitiveness.
This list is just an indication of what you might include. Your presentation must be data rich and visually interesting and appealing.
