DIRECTIONS: Case Assignment # 1 is based on Case 8.7 at the end of Chapter 8
text page 253 in the 10h edition of BUSINESS LAW TODAY-The Essentials.
To complete this assignment:

2. This assignment must be emailed after you complete Chapter 8 and before you begin Chapter 9.

Email your case in MSWord.docx as an attachment.

5. HELPFUL HINTS: Read the Case at Least Twice.
A. This case has a value of 50 points. You may receive a grade from 0 to 50 points
contingent upon the quality of your responses, format, and meeting the deadline date. Required Format: Minimum: 1 1/2 + full typed page, single-spaced; (12 Font Size; Type-Arial) with 1” top, bottom, left & right margins. Use proper English rules, grammar and spelling. At least one-half (1/2) of the page should have a detailed explanation of your Legal Reasons and Analysis which includes factual quoted evidence from the textbook 10th Edition Business Law Today by Miller and Jentz. (CITE THE TEXT PAGE NUMBERS AT THE END OF THE LEGAL REASONS).

C. At the top of your Case Assignment #1 include your Name, Title of the Case, Case Assignment #, and Date

D. The correct format must include: IT’S IMPORTANT TO READ AND USE THE ONLINE SAMPLE CASE COPY.

1. FACTS: Type all of the “FACTS” from the text 10th Ed. Business Law Today-The Essentials DO NOT EDIT THE CASE.

2. ISSUE: Type the QUESTION(S) at the end of the case.

3. DECISION: Write your sentence stating a SPECIFIC NAME or addressing the ISSUE above to be resolved. You’re the ‘Judge’ – be definite with the Decision.

4. LEGAL REASONS: ANALYZE YOUR DECISION carefully. Discuss fully using
the legal terms and concepts from your text readings. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE. You will not be wrong if you state your Decision and Legal Reasons with clarity and use good business law principles and ‘judgment’. I cannot read what is not written—include your own words and analysis in your write-up within the ‘Legal Reasons’.
