Capstone.

An argument essay aims to convince a reader to think or act in a particular way. Here are the main features of an argument essay:
Features of a Researched Argument Essay
Has a thesis that includes a topic (the debatable issue) and an assertion (the writer’s position on the issue)
Supports the thesis with reasons (claims) and includes evidence (grounds) to support those reasons
Explains the connection between reasons and evidence (warrants)
Discusses reasons against the assertion and makes those reasons less compelling
May mention what would happen if the assertion were adopted or were not adopted
May conclude with a call to action
Does not argue matters of taste or statements of fact, does not engage in name-calling, and does not include generalizations such as

“everyone believes”
Details are usually arranged in emphatic order
