Social Challenges. This systematic process should include finding a researchable problem, formulating a research
hypothesis, conducting a literature search on the chosen topic using electronic databases, reading and evaluating the
collected materials, and synthesizing sources into a literature review in APA style and formatting (including a title and
reference page). The literature review paper allows the students to demonstrate their ability to search and critically
evaluate the literature as well as summarize that literature in thoughtful, thorough, and well-written prose.
The results of this 4 page literature review paper shall be presented in an APA guideline format style paper. APA style
should consist of 1 inch margins all around, double spaced, Times New Roman Font 12, page numbering, at a minimum 6
American Scholarly references Source. ***Provide page numbers for in-text (citation) ***. Title page, **Abstract** and
reference page is not included in content 4 pages.
This literature review will incorporate the below section.
Abstract: Will be 150-250 words. It will be a brief summary of the paper allowing readers to quickly review the main points
and purpose of the paper.
Introduction: (minimum one page): Present the problem that the paper address. Specify the problem to be studied and tells
why it is important. Specify the hypotheses to be tested and the rationale behind the predictions. Explain the reason
behind the research.
Method: Describes in detail the operations performed by the experimenter. Should contain enough information so that another
experimenter could replicate the study.
Results: Tell what happened in the experiment. It is not unusual to find raw data or individual participant’s scores
reports in a journal article, instead, descriptive statistics are presented that summarize the data.
Discussion: This is the most creative part of the article. You are permitted to restate what the data show (if you desire)
to draw theoretical conclusions. Interpretation of the data in the form of conclusion. The discussion brings the reader
full circle in that it provides a narrative response to the question posed in the introduction.
