Classical Argument: Film Proposal
Each of you is going to write up a proposal for a horror movie based on some societal problem: racism, sexism, housing discrimination, wealth distribution, student loans, authoritarianism, etc.
This first pass at a proposal will use solely the material from Stephen King’s Danse Macabre and incorporate at least three of the four concepts that we focused on. Obviously political horror is one of them, but you still have to choose two from the following: archetypes, types of horror, and Apollonian/Dionysian tension.
