The 9/11 Commission
In the wake of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks (9/11), The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States was created. This group of five (5) Democrats and five (5) Republicans were tasked with reviewing the events of 9/11 and the conditions that caused a nation to be unprepared. The result of this commission was to produce a 567 page report designed to answer one simple question. “How did this happen, and how can we avoid such tragedy again”.
