Topic Description:
o Consider three poor or ineffective communication habits or behaviors
commonly observed everyday whether at home, school, work, or other
social situations.
Essay Structure:

o Paragraph 1: Starts with a quote or statement about the importance of
effective communication and introduces the three communication habits you
would like to discuss.
o Paragraph 2-4: Introduce each communication habit including a specific
example to show when and where the problem usually occurs, discuss why
it is a problem, and provide one change you would make to improve this habit
or behavior. (Address each issue in a separate paragraph)
o Paragraph 5: Review the three issues discussed, restate the consequences
of these poor communication habits, and reinforce the value of effective
communication in our world every day.
 Paper Format
o Journal entry must be typed, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, using Times
New Roman font, size 12.
o Type your full name, course number, date, and assignment title at the top
left corner of your paper.
o Paper must be checked for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and
