Reflective Essay

conflicts that you have experienced in your workplace or personal life, and how you have applied conflict management skills and theories to these situations. The journal is a reflective learning resource for writing your essay and is for your reference only – (it is not to be handed in).
(discuss workplace and personal conflict and how it was resolved…..not using actual examples)

Write an essay reflecting on the experiences you recorded in your journal. Discuss your approach to managing conflict in light of these experiences, using examples from your journal to support your reflections.

Your essay is to include:
definitions and use of terminology and concepts for managing and resolving conflict
description of the interpersonal signs of conflict
description of the stages of interpersonal conflict
identification of the conflict management behaviour/s you demonstrated and any patterns in your approach to conflict an evaluation of your application of active listening, including examples of what you did and verbatim examples of what you said discussion and evaluation of your ability to manage your emotions evaluation of your ability to be appropriately assertive suggestions for improvement in your approach to conflict, including verbatim examples of what you could have said to improve your conflict management skills
reflection on any changes in your approach to conflict during the time you kept your journal, including the implications for how you will manage conflict in the future
reference to relevant literature, linking your ideas to theory discussed in the unit
