1. Critically evaluate major contemporary issues facing hospitality managers in a variety of contexts.

INDIVIDUAL REPORT

By reflecting on the weekly content of the module choose 2 contrasting contemporary issues that are impacting the hospitality industry and its management. Provide a critical analysis of the impacts chosen and produce effective management strategies on how to implement or overcome the contemporary issues identified using underpinning theory and justifiable industry resources.

IMPORTANT
• Reports must illustrate relevant aspects of hospitality/event management theory and practice, and demonstrate thoughtful and critical analysis of issues. Marks will be awarded for particular evidence of analytical rigor, demonstration of understanding of relevant concepts, synthesis of academic thought and its application, integrity and insight.
• All sources should be fully referenced [Harvard style].
• Standard regulations on copying and plagiarism apply.
• Assignments must have the following header on the first page. Your name, module name and number, module leader (~Helen Grimley), and your course name and year (e.g. Event Management Year 3).
• Assignments must be submitted via TURNITIN on the Moodle page.
