Annotated Bibliography
Each person will be expected to critique the reading or readings he/she has been given, and give a brief verbal report to the class on what you found, and how you evaluate the paper.
For your first assessment, you will then produce a short annotated bibliography to accompany a written summary of the reading they have undertaken. You will need to include a variety of web and publication references, using the CU Harvard style required for your studies.
This is intended to start you on the right methods of research and properly referencing your work, and it gives an early indication if any problems need to be addressed. It will
also sharpen up your skills of summarising and writing, which will provide a firm foundation for the rest of the programme.
An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and documents. Each citation is followed by a brief (usually no more than 150 words) descriptive and evaluative paragraph, the annotation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited.
