Please provide a formally fully developed essay on the practical value of the addressed cultural profiling tools for global business leaders. In this context please also describe the different components for at least one of the models. You are encouraged to additionally use examples – your own or from other sources – for how the cultural dimensions affect business decisions.

Please read carefully, as below I provide you with the assessment criteria:

1. Did the student read, understand and actually follow the instructions in the assignment briefing?

· Fully developed = All chapters from cover page, ToC, Introduction till Conclusion and Recommendation

· Practical value of cultural profiling tools = How does cultural profiling unfold in a global business setting? Can it be used, is it useful, how does it help leaders?

· Different dimensions for at least one of the models = Choose any one of the modules and describe their dimensions. While Hall and Hofstede are the easiest, uniqueness in your work will be noticed!

· Provide examples for how cultural profiling affects business decisions = Use examples of your own experiences, those that you have read about, or even those that you imagine when describing how the cultural dimensions affect business decisions

2. How is the presentation/look and feel of the essay and adherence to formality?

• Does the page ‘breathe’?

· Page numbers on each page

· Chapter/headline numbering; also reflected in the ToC

· Proper use of short sentences, punctuation

· Stringency in using line/paragraph spacing

· Avoid typos, and other non-proper formatting such as empty spaces etc.

3. Quality of citations and referencing

Please do use ‘Harvard Referencing”. Guidelines for this format are available on NILE. Understand to correctly cite and reference. Also, see the video on NILE for that (11-2).

· Citation: Paraphrased from a source à Peter is believed to go to school (Miller, 1996); Taken unchanged from a source -=-> “Peter goes to school” (Miller, 1996:55).

· Referencing: Familiarize yourself with proper referencing regarding books, journal articles, online sources, and their alphabetic display at the end of your document

4. Ability to display critical thinking and reflection; AND uniqueness of the work

· Critical Thinking is …

… comprehending and evaluating the relevance and validity of that set of information whether it can be used for structuring and solving a problem or challenge
… identifying and/or assessing possible solutions or alternatives to a challenge

5. Ability to conclude and to issue recommendations

– The conclusion is the last paragraph in an essay. It completes an essay and reemphasizes main ideas and statements.

– It shows a reader the significance of the essay

– How and why is this topic important

– How can the topic affect people

– What can be learned from that topic

– Enhance your conclusion by prediction, recommendation, quotations

• A recommendation is the author’s convinced and shared knowledge that stems from the in-depth research from the essay

• Are the possibilities stemming from an advanced interpretation and understanding of the topic

• Demonstrate to the reader the ability of the author to apply specific knowledge to different situations

• Provides the reader with ideas to take advantage of knowledge
